Protest Pyramid

First, let us note that we are dealing with a completely new kind of pyramid. Much has been written about how such pyramids work and why it is difficult for the “law enforcement authorities” to intervene; however, the most important point, for some reason, goes unmentioned.

To pour money into a pyramid, it is not enough to be greedy, stupid, excessively gambling, or overly self-confident. There is a sufficiently broad market for people with such qualities. For someone to choose MMM over the “Vasilyok” lottery, something else is needed—beyond the qualities mentioned above. I will not be afraid to call this “something” an ideological foundation. MMM’s ideology is presented simply and accessibly in its “statement of faith.” It is based on distrust, protest, and, of course, rests on the granite foundation of an absence of elementary economic knowledge.
